Canada Post Strike- Holiday Season Shipping Update
The strike began on November 15, 2024, when 55,000 postal workers walked off the job over issues like wages and benefits. The strike is affecting mail delivery and some post offices are closed.
To date November 24, 2024, this strike is adversely effecting our rural First Nation communities that have no other source of shipping. We are still offering XS Flat Rate Boxes for these customers and will ship out once the strike is over. We know this solution will offer you a tracking number and may cause delays for the future delivery.
To help manage these high parcel volumes post strike, Canada Post has planned adjusted our service standards to better reflect the current situation and manage expectations. "While we remain committed to providing timely and reliable service, given the unpredictability of the Canda Post Strike situation, delivery standards remain subject to change." by Canada Post Website
Sundaylace Creations will be using UPS, Fedex, and other means to get your packages delivered with a certain time frame. We are committed to not raising prices at the moment but if the cost of shipping is higher then the Canada Post Price by $10 or more we will wait for the strike to be resolved before shipping.
Best practices to get your package shipped asap are to ensure your address is correct at checkout and has a civic address (including apartment numbers in the second line of the address), with accurate postal codes.
