Flood August 24 2026 at Sundaylace Creations

BAD NEWS... We flooded

GOOD NEWS... Beads are okay!

10 years ago, before Sundaylace Creations really became Sundaylace Creations, we had a flood.

And I think that’s why I’ve spent the last 10 years quietly afraid of this happening again.

As Sundaylace grew, so did that fear.

More beads. More shelves. More orders. More responsibility. And most importantly, more people depending on this little business for employment.

I built so much of this place with my own hands. I drilled the slat walls. Built shelves. Moved furniture. Fixed things. Learned things I had absolutely no business knowing how to fix. 😂 I’ve even added sump pump plumbing to my résumé.

I chose to keep growing here, knowing the flood risk.

And then, 9 days ago, it happened AGAIN.

The flood I had been afraid of for 10 years.

Thankfully, I wasn’t there when the water came in. I was away with my family, and I genuinely don’t think I could have handled watching it happen.

But my family, friends and staff jumped into action.

They saved the beads. 💜

Now the products are safe and secure, the flooring is ripped out, the dehumidifiers are running, and we are officially in what I can only describe as…

✨ RENO HELL ✨

We have to stop now and let everything dry before we can rebuild.

And standing here looking at Sundaylace ripped apart has me thinking about where we started.

This business gave me a purpose I never expected.

I loved beadwork. Then I fell in love with entrepreneurship. Then somehow this little bead business grew into something that could provide jobs in my community.

I built this for 10 years.

A flood isn’t taking it from me now.

Crisis mode is over.

I’m in action mode.

Dry it out.

Build it back.

Make it better.

Sundaylace has rebuilt before.

We’ll do it again. 💜

Your orders mean more then anything at this time. Please rebuild with us!
